Elite Warmbloods have produced many fine dressage and FEI competition horses for more than 20 years.

Karen and her husband Peter commenced the breeding operation of Elite Warmbloods on the Darling Downs, Queensland  in 1999 with the acquisition of their first Hanoverian mare Kinnordy Gesina.

Their very first foal Elite Galaxy was successfully performance tested as a three year old with the HHSA and went on to breed her first foal by the age of six years thus gaining elite status with the HHSA. This mare was subsequently sold and for her new owner Ros Lipp produced a National champion Hanoverian foal!

For 20 years the breeding operation produced consistently high quality Hanoverian foals. Some were sold unbroken but many were started under saddle and ridden by Karen then subsequently sold to competition homes. Those included Elite Galaxy, Elite Lalique, Elite Geronimo, Elite Waldo Pepper. Elite PrimaDonna, Elite River Run, Elite Laayla, Elite Rosanna, Elite Femme Fatale and Elite Renaissance Man.

In the Elite breeding program emphasis was always placed on producing a correct Hanoverian type for dressage with a good temperament and trainability. Stallions used in the breeding program  included De Niro, Rotspon, Wolkenstein 11, Lanthan, Londonderry, Gymanstik Star, Prince Noir, Wyndemere, River Dance, Lauries As, Fishermans Friend, Dancier and Wynton.
